The first pic is your vaccum canister. Thats a good spot to have it up there and out of harms way. Originally it went inside your front bumper.

 

I don't have AC and could care less to have it so I don't know what goes where exactly...

That's pretty much where my canister is. IMO, a much better place than behind the bumper.
