About a year ago I installed a rough country 6.5 long arm x flex and 35" tires on to my 88 mj eliminator. After about 5 or 6 months of normal driving nothing crazy or offroad, it has started making a popping noise when I hit any bump or small hole on the front drivers side. The noise is not super alarming, or loud more of a nuisance every time I drive. It seems to happen more and louder when I go to make a left handed turn and hit a pot hole at the same time. Now i did the install myself and everything is torqued an done by the books. I have looked over everything and nothing seems to be wearing wrong or seem out of place. My question is is there a break in period after install on the lift? Should I go back over everything and re torque it all? Could it be that the control arm bushings settled and need re tightened? Any input would be a great help. Thank you all for any help.

Anything comp!ex like that, they recommend you check and tighten bolts periodically. My first thought is track bar bracket, or control arm mounts.

That was my thought as well. My hope is that over the past year of driving is that all the new bolts and parts have settled and it all just needs re tightened.  Thank you for the help and info.

did you align it yourself or take it in?

camber issues, toe issues, track bar frame mount. check with someone turning steering wheel and get a close look at moving parts. steering linkage check as well. other wise welcome to unibody driving. :grinyes:
