Advice welcome on motor mounts

My motor mounts are shot so I ordered some of the Daystar ones off Amazon. I feel like everything is being extra difficult. 

 

I propped up the engine by the oil pan.

I got the old one out near the air intake no problem but I cannot force the new one in. I also am having the hardest time getting the bolt out of the old mount near the ac system and oil filter. I went through the pain in the @$$ of removing the filter and then turning the filter adapter out of the way but no matter how much I jack the engine or let off the Jack it won't come out the last quarter inch.

 

 

I guess maybe I should have gone for the OEM replacements but I try to make every upgrade a little beefier where possible. If you have tips or tricks I would appreciate them.

The new motor mounts you purchased look like polyurethane mounts. The mounts is durable but it will transmit all the motor vibration to the truck much more than the stock ones. I just threw out some poly mounts like those in favor of a new oem Mopar set and am super happy with how smooth the truck is now. Those poly mounts would rattle your teeth at idle.

I heard once upon a time you aren't supposed to mix your mount's like if you have rubber engine mounts and poly trans mounts you can crack the bellhousing. might be a myth but it makes sense to me

The block side of the motor mounts do not fit the poly tube aftermarket ones without some grinding/persuasion
