Greetings all! New here and just thought I’d say hello. I am a long time Jeep nut, currently have 3 1989 MJs, and a 2001 TJ and have owned several XJs and YJs over the years. I am a 47 year old A&P mechanic from the Northeast, but currently reside in Charleston, SC.

I am currently working on a 1989 2.5 2wd base MJ that will become my daily driver. Have an 89 Pioneer LWB and an 89 Eliminator SWB. Both, unfortunately suffered fires in the heater box so I will be doing a 97+ swap to one of them, probably the Eliminator. The LWB Pioneer will be put on the back burner for now. Once I diesel swap my TJ, the 2.5 2WD base will become a diesel 4WD. The Eliminator will probably get the Turbo 4.0 from my TJ.

Looking forward to actually corresponding with you, I’ve been lurking here for a while!

A&P mechanic

I'm actually back in school, working on gaining a 3rd career as an A&P.  Just finished up Powerplant last semester and I'm now in my first semester of Airframe.

Probably do my Gen and PP written tests this Spring when the semester ends.

Is it fun out there in the A&P world?
