CoastChief
have been wanting to ask where you guys ran your slack for the replacement cable. The first time I installed it I put it too close to the exhaust and melted the cable
CoastChief
Grey cable is the OEM that I replaced, but now its back in and bouncing after white lithium grease. Replaced ( black cable ) was very very long, and hit the exhaust and melted. I zip tied the slack up to the arm but it melted from the engine bay area. Thank you guys. Minuit
There should be a P-clip on the driver side upper control arm bolt that keeps the cable away from the exhaust. But saying that, my original cable doesn't look like it has as much slack as yours.
87MJTIM
Looks like you have cable for a 4wd MJ. NAPA has the longer and shorter cables available.
