MLT Lulu
Pretty simple question here, my truck had neither a AC nor a heavy duty package. This means it has no auxiliary electric fan. I'm getting ready to revamp the whole cooling system, and I'd like to put that electric fan in. So two questions. Anybody ever put in just the electric fan and delete the mechanical fan and clutch? And is this the factory harness that would go to the AUX fan relay? It came capped and tucked behind the washer fluid bottle on DS inner fender. eaglescout526
That is the AC plug. I just added AC to my truck and that's the capped off end for AC. It actually is plug and play. As far as the fan relay I am not sure where that is. Be sure to update your sig with the stats of your MJ.

But the aux fan relay should be right about here. I don't have AC, and this is the first jeep anything I've dinked with. So, to be certain... is this plug related to the aux fan that is comes on when the AC compressor engages? Or is it related to some other aspect of the AC, like the compressor clutch? Again, I'm just trying to make sure i don't go sideways. If i can misunderstand something, i likely will.
eaglescout526
I have a 2.5L so I suspect you have a 4.0L. I am not sure of how that engines AC harness operates but it could or it could not work in conjunction with the E-fan. I know a temp sensor goes into the radiator on the Renix years, on the H.O. it is in the T-stat housing. I just know that that four prong plug is for the AC wiring harness for the clutch and relay. DC3
We installed a auxiliary fan from a '95 cherokee with a toggle/relay/ fuse.....My radiator is a closed system so no auto/switch on/off...Seems to work well so far?
