Undy MJ Posted February 11, 2020 Posted February 11, 2020 I have an 86' Comanche with 119,000 miles on it. It has the original 2.8 in it. It is an automatic with the floor shifter. Almost every time I stop and then give it gas it cuts off. It seems to slam in to gear a little. I have to put it in neutral, give it some gas, then pull it in gear to keep it running. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Robert Underwood. Roanoke, Va.

Pete M Posted February 11, 2020 Posted February 11, 2020 sorry, I meant the transmission fluid level.
omega_rugal Posted February 11, 2020 Posted February 11, 2020 check the engine, it´s stalling due lack of power
omega_rugal Posted February 11, 2020 Posted February 11, 2020 ok to clarify, it´s an engine problem, not a transmision problem...

Undy MJ Posted February 12, 2020 Author Posted February 12, 2020 possibly timing...or something worse ??
