Jtslick89
Anyone have a power steering cap that is stuck? I want to open obviously, but scared to break it. Any tips? I'm a newb, sorry. Also, second question, just changed the oil and realized my oil fill cap is missing a rubber gasket and has a loose fit. Can anyone direct me to a replacement oil fill cap and/or gasket? Thanks! eaglescout526
Which engine do you have? I say just grab the cap with some gloves or something that grips and give it all. As for the oil cap the Renix 2.5L and 4.0L shared the same design.

fiatslug87
If you have a strap wrench try that.

I have a 1990 4.0L The reservoir should be metal so you should be fine to get it off without breaking something.
fiatslug87
All my 4.0s have plastic PS reservoirs.
eaglescout526
I thought they would be metal due to being attached to the pump itself.
