Dzimm
Hmm. This is quite the swap. Are the radio and blower motor in the new dash working off this fuse box?

Oof, you asked about the two things that aren't hooked up. No A/C has been hooked up,, so the compressor is sealed for now, and my roomate would prefer (I don't know why) that it isn't... and the radio is with me, but I haven't tried installing it yet until I get the whole interior sorted out. Eagle
In the morning I'll try to remember to take a photo of the clutch peddle in my 2000 Cherokee.

You have your 2000 clutch pedal mated to your comanche? Hopefully now after the photos I submitted you can see why the fuse-box does not fit. Hey Eagle, Just curious if you managed to take a few photos of the clutch pedal from your 2000 cherokee. Hoping I'm not off to buy a new clutch pedal, and possibly it's just been installed wrong. Thanks in advance!
Eagle
Didn't feel well enough to step out the door today (Thursday). I'll get it Friday -- got the camera right next to the door with a note to remind myself.
gogmorgo
For some reason I want to say there was a change in the clutch/brake pedal tray at some point. I don't know what the difference is or when the change occurred, just remember encountering it in a thread on here a while back... I think. But looking at the pedals, in JM's pics, the clutch and brake pedals mount quite close to each other, and come straight down. It looks like the pedals you're dealing with mount up further left in the footwell and then angle down over so that the foot pad on the pedal is in the same spot. If that's the case, it could be the reason your pedals don't clear the original fuse panel is because they were never intended to. Most of the '97+ swaps I've seen don't use the original wiring harness. My understanding is that it doesn't play nice with the later dash. I doubt the OBD2 instrument cluster would work with the Renix ecu and wiring. I know it's a lot of work but you might be best off just getting rid of the old wiring, swapping it completely over to the OBD2. Possibly you might be able to make it work with an early pedal tray, assuming yours came out of the later XJ?
Eagle
No pics today -- camera died. But ... clutch peddle looks just like the one in the photos in post #19. The actual peddle pad sits in the same place, so I've been driving it since early 2000 and I never noticed that the lever part is totally different from the earlier ones.
