HVAC controls available new?

I called the local Jeep dealership and asked if NEW hvac dashboard controls are available for an 89 MJ.  No was the answer.

 

Does anyone know aftermarket controls are available new? Or nos.   If so. where?

Highly doubt they are available new.  No reason for them to still be made.  NOS could show up somewhere but not likely.  

 

Keep in mind they will be the same as the XJ so search for those.  Any reason to go new over used?  You can find used in any junkyard, eBay, or ask in the classifieds here.

I am going to have ac put in an 89 that never had ac. With what it will cost, I rather have all new components.  Hopefully that rubber Y tube to the control is available new; what would 30 year old rubber tubing be like?  I have totally new ac put in an 87 that had ac to begin with and used the existing controls. It looks like used is the only option.

Not sure exactly what Y tube you are talking about but I've found the interior vacuum fittings tend to be in decent shape on all my Jeeps.  If you need to replace anything you can find "universal" fittings/lines in almost any shape or size you need these days.
