hood latch replacement

I changed hoods on my truck with my parts truck, the one on my good one was dented in where the hinges attached and that in turn killed my cowl. so i changed the hoods, and the new hood latches don't work correctly, one doesnt close and the other doesnt open. can i swap just the corner latches out? or are the attached perminatly?

Latches are bolted on. Torx screw I think. :hmm: Haven't looked at them in a while, but I've removed them from my 88 and 90.

awsome, thats all i needed to know, now all i need to do is get my torx from work.

When your remove the latches, you'll find some shims there, you might need to add / remove a shim or two to get the hood to latch, that could be your problem. Also check the alignment to the fenders and front header panel.
