techguy Posted December 28, 2018 Posted December 28, 2018 Working on an 87 Comanche. Was able to jump the starter and got it running but is not getting power to starter secondary terminal when key is turned to start. Question is how do I bypass the nss on this year and model? Going to try that before messing with ignition. Thanks.
mjeff87 Posted December 28, 2018 Posted December 28, 2018 Sorry, I no longer have the pic of the NSS connector. But jumper the pins with the black and black/white tracer wire.
mjeff87 Posted December 28, 2018 Posted December 28, 2018 Scroll down to the last post that Pete just put in this thread, toward the bottom of the pics he posted. There's one of the NSS connector with pin locations:

gogmorgo Posted December 29, 2018 Posted December 29, 2018 If it is the NSS, it probably just needs a good cleaning. https://bc4x4.com/tech/2010/jeep-neutral-safety-switch-nss/ I ran a bead of silicone around the edge of mine when I put it back together to try to keep more crap out.
