Amccutc21
Can anyone tell me the torque specs for the caliper bracket bolts (E12) and the 7mm female Allen heads that attach caliper to bracket? Also, does anyone have pictures of their anti-rattle clips? The clips were not the same from driver to passenger side.
HOrnbrod
All four anti-rattle clips carry the same p/n. I've never seen any differences between them. What brand are you using?

Don't know if it matters, but what year? Torque specs sometimes changed from year to year.
Amccutc21
It’s an 89. I re-used the same clips. The passenger side clips were nothing more than a straight c-clip with nothing to latch on, therefore they are loose. The driver side clips were different in the fact that they were not straight, and latched on for a tight fit.
Amccutc21
Pictured is the driver side which has the part that goes under and holds the clip tight. The passenger side is just a straight pin with nothing to hold it tight.
HOrnbrod
That's weird. I've changed out front pads many times and all the clips were always the same. The parts manual says they all carry the same p/n, J3239865. Yet I just looked them up on Advance Auto's site and they show these:
Amccutc21
It has me confused as well. The clips that were on the passenger side are loosely attached and can't provide much function, if any. Could be the PO's doing, but I wanted to get a feel if others on here had the same issue.
NickS
I just did my front brakes last week and all four clips were the same.
