Darren Posted August 16, 2007 Share Posted August 16, 2007 I just bought an ax-15 np231 combo out of a 93 cherokee. that being said the t-cases are very differnt. mine has a mechanical speedo and a vacuum plug. the 93 just has 2 electrical connectors. what do i do now? Eagle Posted August 16, 2007 Share Posted August 16, 2007 Doesn't the "new" 231 still drive the speedo sensor from the same hole in the tailshaft housing as the old ones? I'm pretty sure it does, since even the 2000 adapts to different gearing by changing the speedo gear in the same place. Just remove the sender with the commectors, and insert your speedo cable quill. Tom :popcorn: correct, but it doesn't really matter since he has the AX15-231 combo from the truck, the speedo will swap right out and the tranny will bolt right in.
