crumbscomanche Posted January 2, 2018 Posted January 2, 2018 Hi all, happy new year! Does anyone have experience ordering from CarID? I saw they had a replacement for the Comanche rear glass with a slider (I have a solid pane now), and I called and verified the fitment with one their reps. Has anyone installed this before, and if so, how'd it hold up? Thanks, Jacob https://www.carid.com/1991-jeep-comanche-back-glass/
HOrnbrod Posted January 2, 2018 Posted January 2, 2018 That CRL 4-pane is the only aftermarket slider you can get now for the MJ. I had one of them installed years ago in mine and it has given me no problems at all. You can't order directly from CRL unless you have a business account with them, so I had my local glass company order it since they were going to install it anyhow. Saved a few bucks by eliminating the middle man, CARiD in your case. http://www.crlaurence.com/crlapps/showline/offerpage.aspx?ProductID=87862&GroupID=1653&History=30587:21770:1336:21770:1351:1389&ModelID=1653&pom=0
crumbscomanche Posted January 2, 2018 Author Posted January 2, 2018 @HOrnbrod that's great. I'm going to order one today! Do you recall if it came with a gasket?
HOrnbrod Posted January 3, 2018 Posted January 3, 2018 They reused my original gasket as I recall. It was a loooong time ago.

It comes with everything you need for an install , it does not use the factory gasket . If you remove your gasket properly , you can probably sell it to someone on here that needs a gasket for a factory window .

Strokermjcomanche Posted January 3, 2018 Posted January 3, 2018 Here is the best pic I could find in reference to the gasket , even though this is a power slider you'll get what it looks like .

The shop I work with for glass does a great job so I'll see if they can save it for me. Can't wait to get it.
