A pair of 89's

I just bought 2 mj's this evening the longbed is mine and the short bed is my 14 year old sons. Mine is a 4.0 auto longbed and his is a 2.5 manual short bed. We hope to build both into dependable and semi restored daily drivers with 97+ conversions done on them.  Hopefully I can figure out how to put the pictures on here.

They definately arent the most shining examples of comanches. They both need rockers, cab corners and floors aswell as some other body repairs. But for $600 for the pair I couldnt pass them up

$600 for TWO running MJs?! Definitely a steal. Interiors looks pretty decent and as I always tell my wife "Lipstick and Rouge" are the last things I worry about. Good luck with your builds, what cool father / son projects!

Well they don't run the greatest. The 2.5 runs but trans is shot, the 4.0 also runs but has water in the oil. Once we track down the xj donors those issues will go away tho 🤔

LOL! $600 must be the going price.... I bought my 2 1989's for $600 too! mine both have 4.0 5 speeds 4WD SWB. They both have that awful purple interior and the same rust issues as yours (here in Hawaii rust is an ongoing battle, even on 3 year old cars) both of mine run and I have already acquired the late XJ body parts i need to convert!
