rylee144
Just want to make sure I make the right choice before I spend the money. I am going with 31" inch tires with no lift kit. I am adding the WJ LCA and an inch or 1.5 coil spacer. I am getting new shocks because mine are old and shot. The rear ones I believe will be the stock size even though I'm adding bigger tires. The front shocks however I am not sure. With adding the coil spacer and bigger tires am I still using the stock shock size or do i need to get shocks that are 1 or 1.5 inches bigger to account for the col spacer? HOrnbrod
Do finish installing coils, spacers, control arms, tires and wheels, etc. and get the stance right before buying new shocks. Shock up/down travel needed can then be easily determined to buy the correct shocks.
dasbulliwagen
Depends on your intended use. If its street all the time, the stock style shocks should work for now. if youre going to wheel it hard then get the correct length. I have black JK takeoff shocks on mine front and rear. They drive great and are about an inch longer than stock MJ shocks if I remember correctly. There is minor mods to make them fit, but you can find them cheap or free sometimes. Good luck. Crash
JK takeoffs should work for up to 2-2.5 lift. Will need lower BPE. Otherwise ZJ Upcountry shocks will work up front and plug n pray.
