Putting my interior back together. 87 2wd 4 spd. I’m putting the carpet back in and for the life of me I can’t remember was something connected here? There’s an all thread on the passenger side of trans tunnel. Was this a ground? Maybe something for a 4x4 not my 2wd?Thanks for answer!

I'm not sure what you are talking about in your picture, the gold thing just inside the black area?  The 4wd linkage is all on the drivers side so it won't be that.  The only thing bolted to the passenger side of the tunnel is the passenger seat belt but I thought that was a bolt going into the tunnel, not a stud.  Is there something bolted on from underneath?  The only thing running through that area should be sensor wires for the transmission.  Was there a stud in that location for bench seats? I can't think of anything that would bolt there.

Yes you’re correct. It’s not a clear pic but it’s a stud just inside the black area in the pic on passenger side.I have a bench seat and all connections are accounted for. Seat belts all have bolts that are screwed in. This is a fixed bolt. I remember seeing it when I got rid of the carpet. Just couldn’t remember if any wires were attached to this. The only other wires I have near that area go to the console lighter by the shifter. Thanks for the reply though!

Ok thanks. Maybe the P.O. had it there for some type of ground. That’s all I could think of. Just wanted to make sure I didn’t forget hooking something up.
