 I know there was a writeup from converting 4 door seats to 2 door seats mechanism...but can't seem to find it

 

does anyone have the thread?

Here you go:

 

 

I did this to mine and it works great.  One thing, Bo says you need to weld in 97 seat brackets " This will only work if you have 97+ XJ seat brackets installed in your rig" .  NOT SO.  I did it using standard Comanche seat brackets and some flat stock.  No welding, just bolts and a hack saw.

Yes they are for my 98xj 2 door...

i want to put in leather seats and saw an ad on craigslist for a complete set for dirt...

just wished the pictures worked though

Do ZJ seats not fold forward?

They do not fold forward, 

the 2 door xj fold forward to allow passengers to enter the rear...

unlike the 4 door xjs/zjs where the seats only have a tilt option...
