ComancheCrusher9800
Okay so my old engine died so I rebuild the one out of my older mj. I went to put it in and hooked everything back up and it won't start. It'll sit there and crank. I didn't aline the hormonic balancer the right way with the marker but I don't think that should matter because the dots were aligned on the timing sprockets. And I do have gas and it will turn over so I know it's something with the spark. But to do with that. I am getting spark from the coil but not from the distributor. The spark has gone back the distributor ( I know because it got me when in did) but I couldn't see the spark jumping every time with every plug wire and I don't see why. Can someone please help me with this Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
Jeep Driver
Your dist is out of phase. Go to TDC...........that mark you ignored.........on the compression stroke and index your dist.

Big Dan
He's saying to set the #1 cylinder to top dead center on the compression stroke. And, index your distributor. Your distributor timing is out of whack.

ComancheCrusher9800
Worked. Distributor was 180° wrong though so had to reset it. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
