Jackrabbit41
So I'd love to get some updates doors for my manche. Can I put in powered doors without doin an entire 97 front clip swap?
Siopposition
If u put in the dash harness and change the door striker I think you can, but I think u have to use the newer door panels as well. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Tapatalk
Dzimm
Does it currently have power doors? If so you can do this but there is a lot of cutting and splicing of wires. Nothing plugs directly in AFAIK. As far as adding power to a non power truck, idk how that would work or if the trucks wiring would be set up for power doors at all.

Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Tapatalk For the 97+ doors you do have to change the door striker over (search 97+ swaps for info) and you would have to use the 97+ door panels because the doors are completely different on the inside. The door wiring harnesses cannot be swapped between 97- and 97+ doors either since the lengths of wire are different.
cody4359
Dunno if you have pwr or not, but maybe look into 97+ with manual windows for s simple swap. Pretty sure I did a write up about 5 years ago for the striker swap. Basically, drill out the spot welds and remove the plate that captures the nuts. I took some flatbar, measured the hole pattern for the new striker, drilled, put bolts in with new striker and welded nuts on the back. Measure/eyeball where you want it on the door jamb, drill 2 holes, and fiddle around with enlarging them til you get it where you want.
