offroader461
Lifted the front this past week: 3" rancho coils Rancho LCA RE quick disco's Rs9000 front shocks also put on some new 32*11.5*15 BFG A/T
TNT
This picture kinda reminds me of how my rusty DD. It has ZJ upcountry springs a .75" spacer and 2 stock isolater in front and a 3" lift RE AAL with 33x10.50-15's on 15x7" wheels with 4" of backspacing. The fenders are cut and flares are cut and relocated some. The lift is 9 years old. It ran 31x10.50's for 70k and they just weren't good enough for this winter. I put the wheels and tires from my '95 XJ on this winter. Now it's great in the snow. The tires only rub in the back when its flexed out because there are no bumpstops. Image Not Found My MJ is hiding behind it.

RE rear springs usually are more like 4"-4.5". If you don't have a SYE, get a YJ yoke so the slip yoke won't bind at full droop. It's also about 1/2" longer which is a plus also. offroader461
Update: I had to rebuild the steering column because the tilt was coming loose so its been down for a couple days b/c once i got in there most of the parts were broken, of course, so i have been replacing them. New parts going on this weekend: -picked up a 8.25 3.55 w/locker for $40 bucks everything is in good shape -installed my rockratz light bar w/ KC's...free b/c its off the MJ -scored a set of factory tow hook brackets and hooks for free..haha now i have some recovery points on the front!!! PICS UP SOON!!
offroader461
Wow..been a while! here's a quick update (WILL POST PICS SOON) the deal on my rear axle fell through so it still got 3.55's and the turdy-5  -got my tow-hooks and brackets in with the "L" bracket frame brace -install the roof bar and 4 Kc's -Put in some MJ shackles to level it out -Got my ROCK SLIDERS on!!! -installed my new rear shocks and bumpstops -installed RE gen2 disco's -installed fixed vent windows -replaced the front door panels -installed Aurora back-up lights in the liftgate -C/B is in and wired up -installed my 32x11.5 R15 BFG A/T's NEXT ON THE AGENDA: -custom front bumper -4.10's front and rear with 8.25/D44/8.8 -install trans cooler and temp guage -swing-out tire carrier -also changing the exhaust...the muffler is offset/offset instead of center/offset so the tailpipe CONSTANTLY rubs on the leaf spring...so I'm putting on a single in/dual out magnaflow with turndowns and call it good!! PICS TO COME!!

XJs4Ever
Nice! Speakin of "Jeep Box", here's one I built yesterday with stuff I had laying around. 2/3 sheet of particle board, some glue & screws and a lot of wire later and.... :brows: Image Not Found The two 12" subs don't match but again, they were on the shelf in the garage. The 750w amp is new and I had to buy the felt to cover the box. The MJ has grills in back for the 5.25" speakers and pigtails too but the cab didnt have holes for the speakers! :headpop: So I put them in the box and ran the wires out the sides. Image Not Found Image Not Found I wasnt positive it would fit but I measured it out and figured I had 7" at the base, 3" at the top, 15" of height and 45" of width to mess with and dang if it didnt fall right in. The seats don't tilt forward so I had to remove one to get it in. I wanted the most cu ft possible for the best deep bass, and I stuffed it with pillow innards. Yep it sounds awesome! offroader461
Well unfortunantly the old XJ was just giving up on me..only averaging 13 MPG recently..it needed new gears (complete rear axle), then trans was slipping and the A/C pump went out...so i stripped most of the aftermarket stuff off and sold it..time to move on  But the new owner called yesterday and already busted the p/s axle shaft due to stupidity
