JeepFanactic Posted January 26, 2017 Posted January 26, 2017 I am currently in the middle of my 4wd conversion on my 1987 MJ. Just recently finished my AX-15 installation. On the way home I saw a 94 Cherokee with the AX-15 with a blown engine. The owner just wants to get rid of it and told me to take it off his hands for a steal. Will the drive shafts fit my MJ? I need the front and rear DS for my conversion. I'm going to take the parts I need and scrap the rest.
AeroNautical Posted January 26, 2017 Posted January 26, 2017 Both AX-15 with NP231s? Both have Dana 30 HP Fronts? Than yes, the front driveshaft will work just fine. The rear will not, no matter the set up.
87MJTIM Posted January 26, 2017 Posted January 26, 2017 Now you have two transmission cross members. Like said, the rear drive shaft won't fit Every thing from the tcase forward will swap. Get the XJ for parts!
