Rear ZJ Dana 35 and 44 backing plate differences question.

I pulled the rear backing plates off of a ZJ with a Dana 44 so I could swap to rear disc's on my Dana 35 (1989 Bolt on axle), are the backing plates the same for the Dana 35's and Dana 44's on the ZJ's? thank you. BTW I'm aware I will have to re drill them and get a different bearing retainer plate, thank you.

IIRC, ZJ rear disc is same for both axles.

As long as the D35 is a non-c-clip 35, which it should be if it's the original axle in your 89, they are the same configuration to mount on the axle flanges.
