My 90 mj is idling rough

Recommended Posts

I have a 90 mj and when I start it it has a rough idle and kind of a rumble when I open the throttle. I cleaned the throttle body and that helped a little bit. To me it seems like it could be a sensor or valve within the vacuum system...i was thinking possibly the map sensor or egr valve(or solenoid). I wanna try to figure out the problem before I buy parts, because I'm not made of money. Any help is very appreciated. Thanks

New plugs and wires...maybe a year ago and rotor at least 2 years

Repair the vac line from MAP to TB, should at least help your issue. A small piece of vac hose can be used to connect the hard plastic together.

Thanks a lot. I got the vac line put back together and it fixed the rough idle for the most part, but now it has a high idle. Just one thing after another!Haha hopefully it's just little things
