thejum57
I just bought a 21 gal. compressor from Harbor Freight (Central Pneumatic) The instructions say to "break it in" you put a male coupler in the female quick connect and run for 30 minutes with the air just rushing out. Never heard of this. Is this necessary? I did fill it with oil, ran for a few minutes , drained and re-filled oil.
DirtyComanche
I doubt it will care.
sinkrun
Manufacture says it for a reason whatever it may be and it may just last longer if you do.
HOrnbrod
It's to initially seat the rings with no load. Then drain/change the oil and run normally. Some compressor manufacturers break them in for you, the ones made "overseas" don't.
