Cj tailgate

Anyone have any info on this tailgate? Found it on a old willys cj at a junkyard today for $20. My friend said it looks like it's from a cj2a or cj3a

Wow, did this get posted in the wrong section and thread........ lol!

 

A quick googling tells me that this tailgate design was used for quite a few years, it's just the Willys stamping that makes it unique to a few specific years.  Nothing real rare.

standard tailgate for a 2a, 3a, 3b, and earlier CJ5's  (46-60ish?).  It's not entirely rare, but not really common either... prices dropped when Omix began stamping "willys" again a few years ago.
