zak
Has anyone bought the replacement floor pans from RockAuto? Just wondering how close it is to what's already there, or what used to be there in my case. And if it comes with the studs for remounting the seat or if that's something i would have to weld in. My driver side pan is pretty bad. Or if anyone has other suggestions of where to get replacement pans that would be great too. I haven't pulled the carpet yet but from underneath the truck it looks like the rust is starting to climb up the transmission hump.
mikekaz1
the replacement pans are only about 75% effective. they still take some work to make perfect and they are just the flat sheet metal. no inclusions or provisions for bracing, seats or anything
jpdriver1
why not take a reciprocating saw to the JY and cut to fit?
zak
If I find an XJ with no rust will it fit in decently? I thought I've always read that the MJ and XJ floors were pretty different. I've seen MJs in the yards around here but it's pretty rare.
mikekaz1
MJ floors are angled back much steeper then the near dead flat XJ floor. It might work but still not just a drop in. Also XJ seat brackets are 100% different then MJs
Jeepman
MJ's have a Brace attached to the top of the Floor pan's like this (borrowed from another post here on Comancheclub) XJ's are flat and most pans are crap anyways so your better off getting some good gauge Sheet metal and making the pan yourself...
