I have two questions, I'm trying to beef up my frame so it can handle the extra weight I'm putting on from a cage and the only frame reinforcement plates I can find are for an XJ which I know is also a unibody I was just wondering if it will fit my 86 Mj. Here is the link. http://www.rustysoffroad.com/rustys-xj-cherokee-front-frame-reinforcement-plates.html

My second question is, do these frame reinforcement plates also serve as a steering box brace or should I buy that seperate and weld it over?

These guys make a kit to reinforce the "frame" the whole way from front to rear.  They also sell it in sections.
