  1. Hey I want to replace my slave to master cylinder line from a hardline to a steel braided line. I have a 1986 Jeep Comanche. I was just wondering if anyone knows what size fittings I need on each end of the line and how long of a steel braided line I will need. Thanks In advance.
  2. Hey I have 86 Comanche which started out with a 2.8l but had that pulled for a 3.4l from 95 Camaro, I was just wondering if anyone has used Currie Heavy duty motor mounts? P/N- CE-9201 I wanted to grab a better pair of motor mounts rather than stock but can't find much options out there. Also will these fit? On this generic site it claims to fit but on summit racing it doesn't mention it fitting the 2.8l engines. (Generic site-- http://www.xgift.net/hsxxg-548153553/Height-Mounts-Motor-Mount?productId=7376414) Summit racing link -- https://m.summitracing.com/parts/cur-ce-9201?seid=srese1&cm_mmc=pla-google-_-shopping-_-srese1-_-currie-enterprises&gclid=CNzAhq3Xzc0CFZNgfgodk28Aog Thanks for the help!
  3. Ah nice that's legit! I can def see the benefits of going that route.
  4. Raj thanks, did you end up using this one?
  5. Anyone know if I can use thesehttp://www.rustysoffroad.com/rustys-steering-box-frame-plate-xj-cherokee-drivers-side.htmlsteering box reinforcement plates on my 1986 Jeep Conanche? They are for a Cherokee but don't have one listed for Comanche. If not what have some of you gents done to reinforce the frame where the steering box is attached? Thanks for all input
  6. Nice, so if I want I can grind off those nail/posts/clips that surround the windshield part and still replace the windshield no problem? (Just without the trim of course.) any idea if that 97 Cherokee glass will work for my 86 Comanche?
  7. Yeah deleting everything, going ham with it haha. Thanks for all the advice, will most likely go with a rubber seal and the foam spray, already had to do a bit of welding on the firewall for rust. But I figure at least if I go with the spray and rubber seal it will be easier to change my mind later on. Pretty much the only thing I would want from it would be the defroster, but I rather try with the whole thing out first and see how it goes. I figure can always drive with my head out the window if it gets to foggy or wipe em as I go. It's not a daily truck just a mountain/trail truck. But thanks all for the replies. Hope to be able to throw some pics of it up when it's closer to finished.
  8. Ahh might have to definitely give that a try. Thanks for the suggestion.
  9. Anyone know where I can find HVAC block off plates/delete plates? Took out my HVAC system and not planning to put it back which leaves me with these nice two decent size holes in my firewall haha. I tried searching a couple of the parts and performance pages I know of but didn't have any luck. Thanks for the help!
  10. Nice thanks for the link, that thing looks like just what I need.
  11. I have two questions, I'm trying to beef up my frame so it can handle the extra weight I'm putting on from a cage and the only frame reinforcement plates I can find are for an XJ which I know is also a unibody I was just wondering if it will fit my 86 Mj. Here is the link. http://www.rustysoffroad.com/rustys-xj-cherokee-front-frame-reinforcement-plates.html My second question is, do these frame reinforcement plates also serve as a steering box brace or should I buy that seperate and weld it over? 12. Do I still have to use the 80s Camaro clutch for the 3.4 with the AX-15 swapping into it? I know I read I need to use the 84 Clutch but that was under a swap thread for someone with a 2.5, I'm just wondering if that is applicable to me? If so, will I be able to re-use my pressure plate?
  13. Right on been waiting on grabbing the T-case until I was sure. Appreciate the info, will def go ahead and grab it.
  14. You mean it sits to high and will run into my floor?
  15. Right on thanks! Yeah the thing I was confused on was the tc and transmission. As for the bellhousing I'm currently having a b*@$£ of a time finding one but everything else is going pretty smoothe. Thanks for the info
  16. It does but I'm going to be doing some heavy duty off-roading and mountain climbing and I know the ax-5 won't be able to handle the beating.
  17. For the most part I did the good bit of research behind the swap already and should have everything needed. I'm just wondering whether there will be an issue using a tc from a 93 wrangler for my 95 ax-15? Not sure if there will be an issue with the input shaft or gear being too long or too short.
  18. Sorry should have clarified it's not swapping onto a 4 cylinder engine. It's swapping to the 3.4 v6 Camaro engine.
  19. Mate the bellhousing from the ax-15 to the 4 cylinder? Currently I'm dropping in a 3.4 from a Camaro. Previous to that I had a 2.8 engine.
  20. Oh and the wrangler is 4.0 5 speed with the ax-15 behind it as well. (I just didn't want to take that tranny because of it being an internal slave.)
  21. I was just doing a bit of reading on Novak because I'll be grabbing a 95 Ax-15 from a Cherokee but I can only find a transfer case from a 93 wrangler. I was just wondering if anyone knows whether I'll run into any issues with this setup? What is worrying me is I was reading this off Novak and not sure whether it is applicable to my situation. Novak- "cause of differences in the cut of the gear, as a general rule, one should not interchange 1987-1993 gears with 1994-present gears. These years are not always hard and fast delineations. If one is not absolutely certain, disassembly and inspection is required." https://www.novak-adapt.com/knowledge/np-nvg-input-gears/ Thanks for any info
  22. Hey, I'm looking for a 2.5l Dakota Bellhousing from a 96-98 Dodge Dakota. Need it to mate my ax-15 to my 3.4l Camaro engine. I live in Hawaii so we can't get $#!& for parts and have terrible salvage yards, if anyone can find me and ship me one of these bell housings I'm pretty much willing to pay any reasonable price and the shipping. I've been searching for a good bit of time and am having no luck.
  23. And thanks for the links! May have to resort to bucking up and paying for that adapter if I can't find one. But hot damn that adaptor is pricey! More then what I'm paying for my tranny! Haha
