  1. Ok thanks! Dang that's lucky. I have been having a b*@$£ of a time finding a Dakota Bell housing. But being over here in Hawaii its pretty limited when it comes to sourcing out parts.
  2. Swapping my current AX-5 with an AX-15 with the 3.4l motor, just had a question about the Dakota bell housing used to mate the AX-15 and the 3.4. My question is could I use the 2.5l Dakota bell housing AX-5 or it has to be a 2.5l Dakota bell housing ax-15? if it does have to be the latter is there any adapters or way around it if I can't find the 2.5l Dakota ax-15 bell housing?
  3. Where did you order all the turbo parts from? Going to be throwing a turbo on my 3.4 also once I break in the engine.
  4. Haha roughly the replies I figured I would get. I'll probably just figure out a good path to run it through the back.
  5. Anyone thought about running exhaust stacks? I know it's pretty pointless and almost retarded to go with exhaust stacks on a gas engine, but my whole thinking behind it is that wouldn't you have to worry less about destroying your exhaust pipes if they only ran a 1/4 to 1/2 way down your truck then shoot up through the bed behind the cab?
  6. Any good recommendations for a different fuse box? And I'm going to be welding up the hole where the box is at anyways because it's starting to rust down there so I have to cut out a good bit around it anyways. And I'm doing it anyways cuz I'm in the middle of a 3.4l swap so I figure might as well change it while everything is out before I finish dropping the engine in.
  7. Hey, I was wondering if anyone ever changed the location of their fuse box? I have a 86 Comanche long bed and my fuse box is down by my pedals on the left hand side sitting a little higher up but I wanted to move it possibly inside of the engine bay. Just wondering whether it was a big hassle or smoothie sailing haha
  8. Could always scoop a rough country bumper not sure what the price difference would be though.
  9. Haha I decided to just paint everything black! I had the same interior in my 86
  10. Yeah I'm going to modify some xj bucket seats I picked up onto some brackets. I would use my old brackets but they are in pretty bad condition. Worst case scenario I will end up using them but I would prefer to pick up some better condition ones. Couple of my mounting holes are broken on the brackets haha -.-
  11. On that note.. Does anyone know a good place to pick up brackets that mount to the floor for an 86? Already checked the usual Cl (in my area) amazon and ebay and the local junkyards, no luck. Right on for any info!
  12. Yeah right on, probably not going to bother with them. Definitely tried to ask for a real picture and they basically told me they couldn't so already I felt that was shady haha. And yeah man 15% plus shipping would mean id be out at least 80-150$$ didn't think it was worth testing the water on that one haha
  13. Just looking to see if anyone bought seat brackets off of Andys Autosport? The sales rep from the online chat claims that they will mount to my floor without any modification but when I look at the picture you can clearly see that it will not line up. When I pointed this issue out he claimed that it was because they did not have a actual image picture up and that it will in fact mount to my floor without any other brackets or modification. However he also could not provide an actual image for me to confirm that it would fit, so I am just wondering if any of you have bought these off of this site? Here is a link to the product, thanks for any help! http://www.andysautosport.com/products/cipher_auto__CPA1352MB.html
  14. Looking to buy some comanche bench or bucket seat brackets that will fit in my 86 comanche. My bench seat brackets that it came with are rusted and pretty broken. Currently need them so I can finish my bench to bucket seat swap.
  15. I would definitely be interested in taking that! Just let me know how much you want for it. Thanks!
  16. Looking to buy a rear window gasket from any year that will fit my 1986 Jeep comanche rear window. I currently live in Hawaii and have no problem paying shipping to get it down here, definitely used to paying shipping... :D, can either message me or reply to here if one is available. Thanks!

    Rear glass

Do you happen to have the rear window gasket also? I would be interested in buying that off you if you have it! :D
  18. Thanks for the link outlaw star, and yeah as hornbrod re-pointed out they have holes in em unfortunately. I will probably be buying those from the link posted by outlaw they look pretty solid.
  19. I'm swapping the 3.4 fuel injected engine into my 86 comanche which was a 2.8 carbed. I've noticed that both my 2.8 and my 3.4 exhaust manifolds are rusted to $#!& with holes in it, and I can't find a replacement down here on Hawaii. So my question is, does anyone know if there is enough clearance for 3.4 headers?
  20. I have a fly wheel and shoot thanks for letting me know, that's a bummer the 92 flywheel would be cheaper than NB my current one.
  21. Could I instead just use a a flywheel from a newer comanche that is already neutrally balanced? Say like a 92 flywheel? Or are the dimensions different?
  22. Right on for the replies, I was feeling all confused on that. Yeah and get this I take the crank shaft over and he tells me he needs the pistons and the rods also. It was then that I knew, this guy is ridiculous so I told him just balance the flywheel and that's all.
  23. He said something about having to balance it to avoid off-weight rough vibrations between the crank and the flywheel. I honestly am not to sure what he is talking about because I have never had to do this before.
  24. Ok sounds good thanks for clearing that up!
  25. So I dropped my 1986 jeep comanche flywheel off at a machine shop which is externally balanced. I told them I needed it neutrally balanced for a 3.4 engine. My problem is the guy told me he needs the crankshaft also to do it from the engine it's going to be paired with, I'm just wondering if that's normal? Never heard of that before.
