AeroNautical
I've searched for turn signals that didn't work, but all cases I found were solved by a replaced fuse or flasher relay. This isn't the case for me, I've replaced those, as well as the ignition switch on the steering column, and no turn signals. Hazards work just fine. The timing of this is absolutely terrible, the last 2 months I've been trying to get my MJ and a trailer up to where I live now (6 hour drive) but a cracked fuel tank (replaced today) and NOW turn signals don't work prevent me from doing this. I need the signals for the uHaul inspection. Any ideas?

AeroNautical
Ohh yeah, cruisers tips and I are good friends. The problem just arose last week, haven't touched it since. I've been making exclusive trips back to sc to fix the problems that just pop up out of nowhere, this is the latest, and I NEED it fixed by tomorrow. MJDigger-CT
Hmm well you said you already replaced the fuses . Gunna throw if it out there , have been wrestling with some electrical issues on my MJ . Blinkers worked sometimes , over looked at first when I was fixing it but it end up being , where the fuse slides in there's the two of the electrical contact plates that kinda sandwich the prong on the fuse in and on the right side of mine. The bottom plate there was sheared off. So it would only work when the fuse rattled on there just right. Don't know the technical terms but I hope that made sense. I ended up just sautering some extra material on that side of the fuse for now until, I can get in there and fix the problem.
onlyinajeep726
Checked your bulb bases for corrosion within the sockets. That would be the next place I'd start.

AeroNautical
I have actually replaced the fronts recently, and the hazards work fine. Would that cause a separate issue with the turn signals?
cruiser54
Turn signal switch in the column. Unplug the switch at the base of the column and clean the contacts and plug it back in. It's that long skinny flat one. You replaced both flashers?
AeroNautical
I have, yes sir. I've localized the problem to a ground I can't seem to find. I wiggle the harness and smack it a few times and they work for a short while. Are the gauge and signals on the same ground? Noticed my gauges seem a bit off too. cruiser54
Where are you wiggling the harness? Ever reviewed my Tip 3 and 18? And BTW, this is progress, ain't it?
