Area51Werks
I just built a hitch and don't want to hack the rear harness to install the trailer harness. I'm looking for a plug in type harness. Anyone have one, build one or know of a manufacturer? II hate scotch locks! BTW: I tried U-Haul. Nope...
Eagle
Unlikely. My suggestion would be to try to get the portion of the rear wiring harness from an MJ that has the connector where the tailight harnes connects to the chassis harness. Use those plugs to make your own plug-in harness.
mikekaz1
Or source a good condition spare. And save it in a safe place and "hack" up your current one. And know you have a good spare invade you ever change things up.
1stDeuce
It's only "hacked up" if you use scotch locks... :) Use good quality shrink/glue sytle butt connectors and you'll never have a problem. Even HF sells them cheap now, so there's no excuse for using old style non-shink open connectors on ANYTHING. Tape it all up good, and run the new wiring in some loom too, and never look back. Or... You can buy the 6-way Weatherpac connector our trucks use at the left taillight on Ebay for $7. Then make a plug-and-play harness yourself. Wouldn't be that difficult. I'd be doing that if my harness wasn't already in need of repar thanks to some jack-rod using scotch locks 20 years ago...
Area51Werks
Ya, I effin hate those things. Got a link for the ebay connector? I went to the local salvage yard last Saturday to cut out a section of harness and they were closed. Called every yard in a 50 mile radius and they all close on Saturday! When did that happen? 1stDeuce
The link won't work in two weeks, but do a search for "6 pin weatherpack" and you'll get a page of results. I've purchased from Performance Plus in Charlotte NC and they were very good. You are supposed to use special crimpers, but I just did some squashing and soldered them before I had a set. No problems.

No problems. You have an 86 , in 86 they did have the weather pack terminal the later years had a different style plug . If the OP has anything other then an 86 ( maybe some 87s it won't work .
