Haven't updated in a while, the boy got the 6.5" lift and axles installed, finally got the front one in today.

 

He also worked a deal and bought a 1990 MJ shell with a 4.0l, AX15, and a bunch of other parts that he plans to swap into the 87.

Today we got most of the interior out and pulled the rubber mat out so that we could take a look at the floors.

 

Perfect floors would have been nice but compared to what many people find, i would say it's not too bad.

Most of it is, there's a couple spots in the drivers floorboard that will need patched.

 

I have a pretty good selection of metal working tools/machinery and the boy likes metal shaping so it will be a fun project for him.

Got most of the wiring and exhaust out of my comanche hope to get the donor engine out of where it is and into this one.

Getting some work done on the floor, knocked off all of the rust and put on some phosphoric acid to take care of any rust left. Now to cut out and replace the really bad sections

Got home from work today and found the boy going to town on the donor rig, he's slowly making progress.

Finally got the engine out of the donor truck, now to clean it up and  get it prepared to go into my Comanche.
