Is there any difference in the 4wd. BA-10/5 tailhousing  as far as Transfer cases go.Found one on Ebay from a NP 231,Will it work with a NP 242

I will be cutting down my 2wd.trannys tailshaft if that matters. Thanks

Was not aware BA10/5 was an option in the YJ, but good to know if so. IIRC, ALL BA10/5 were 21-spline. So, the 88 T-case should be plug n pray.

the peugeot on a wrangler is likely drilled for the higher clocking of the t-case that the later years had. (can anyone confirm?) 

 

either way, it'll work fine. :thumbsup: worst case is you have to clearance the trans tunnel a bit with a hammer.
