jimoshel
Just got in from inspecting the damage after a minor tornado-hailstorm passed thru. I have 9 MJ'S and 3 XJ'S needing a new windshield. Only got 8 windows in the house needs replaced and 3 in the garage. Haven't countd the dead chickens and ducks yet.

jimoshel
Horses an Donkeys AOK. They had enough sense to get in out o f it. Seems like the chickens an ducks were the big losers. 12 dead chickens, 3 missing, presumed drowned an washed away, 3 dead ducks. My Jeeps were the biggest losers. I always park facing East and that was the direction the hail came from so it hit all the windshields at 90 degrees, busting every dern one of them. I had 2 MJ'S facing North and they came out OK. Been out the last hour picking up broken glass an nailing boards over empty window frames. "Tis a privilege to live in Colorado" Wonder who thought that one up.

Pete M
well, I guess the good news is that windshields aren't rare. it isn't exactly cheap to do that many, but it'd be hell if the hail took out the MJ-specific parts (like taillights). note to self, horses are better storm warning animals than chickens. jimoshel
Right now I'm only going to do two of the windshields. My '87 DD and the '86 Winter driver. Not sure yet if I'll even mess with the others. I just realized I never checked any tail light damage. They should be alright as they were down wind from the hail. For that many WW it would pay to get the remover tool. ride172
Damn. These storms are crazy for sure. Not much hail up north but I haven't worked in over a week from all the rain. I'm sorry to hear about your property damage and lost critters. Sometimes all you can do is be happy you're still on the right side of the dirt.
