pitbull4x4
I'm looking to swap a 4wd into my 89 Comanche. What years of tranny and t-case will work in my 89? Have been told to stay with a late 80s cherokee/comanche because get into a mid to late 90 cherokee will need a computer. Is this so and what t-case is best ? This will be my daily driver
87MJTIM
Auto or manual? If you are 2wd, you will need a 4wd trans and a matching tcase. You should get the front drive shaft from the donor vehicle. No matter what vehicle is the donor (MJ or XJ) the rear drive shaft will need to be adjusted for length. The trans/tcase/front drive shaft should all be obtained from the same donor. Also, it goes without saying, the front axle.
