Dash lights

When i turn my key on, what dash lights should light up(if any)?

All I get is a brake light, red upper left corner.

If you do not have gauges I think  the oil light would go on as well.

I have guages, but when i turn the key on, the only thing that goes on is the clock.  Just wondering if anything else is supposed to light up also?

No lights on my '90 when turning on the key. I've got the gauge package, too.

If you have the gauges instead of the dummy lights installed, you should see the parking brake light (upper left of warning light bezel) and the seat-belt light (upper right of WLB). Those are the only ones that light up when I turn the key to the on position. :dunno:

The brake warning/parking brake indicator light and the "temp" 4WD light come on in the "start" position. The temperature gauge wil also peg to the right when the key in turned to the "start" position. The seat belt light only illuminates, accompanied by the chime, if your seatbelt is not fastened when you turn the key on.
