The first 18" would work, but how are you going to make the bend in the back of the cab.  It's not just bent, it's formed to fit the cab, like a compound miter.  I think you might have better luck using the headliner from another small truck.

You can get a new MJ headliner made by a1500ram on this forum if you'd rather have a correct piece. The second run of them fits very well. I put mine in my truck 2 years ago and I'm very satisfied.

Ahh, ok. Since mine was missing I couldn't tell its shape exactly. Just trying to take clues from the cherokee. Thanks for the reference Minuit.

This was done using the headliner from a 99 Cherokee.

Not perfect, But for the ~$30 invested, I'm happy!

 

It was a bit tricky to get it to fit right, and I had to get creative to fill in the hole for the overhead console, but with some ingenuity it can be done!  :thumbsup:

Anything can be done with ingenuity! And I'm not the most patient! Get creative!

Been watching your build, excited to see the work going into it and taking notes on your O/H console!
