big66440
I placed an order on Amazon for an exhaust manifold replacement for my renix 4.0, I paid for the Dorman brand manifold but received a "Hermoff" brand one with a plaque welded on the 3and 4 tubes similar to "dougs headers and the waranty certificate makes it seem like it was made in canada, it seems to be of high quality but i couldnt find any info in it have any of you guys heard of this brand? Thanks
Alexia
Hermoff used to be a Dorman Products division company, but was bought by Eastern Catalytic in 2008. http://press.barolin-spencer.com/clients/eastern/ec404/ If you bought an old stock Dorman item it might have been a Dorman branded Hermoff one. big66440
Cool seems pretty good, so is this old stock any better or about the same?

sinkrun
Have a link to the one you bought? I need one and the idea of maybe getting a non-china one has me interetsed.
big66440
sure do, http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000C123A2/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I wouldn't recommend this one, if you get the Hermoff branded one it is a hassle to work with it my #6 cylinder pipe went way too far into the down pipe that would have caused a severe restriction so I had to find a way to cut the pipe, the bolt holes for the cylinder #1 flange didn't line up correctly so I had to ream them, and finally the EGR tube didn't even come close to lining up correctly so that really set me back some serious time, I just hope it makes up for that crap by lasting me a long time. BTW I cannot confirm 100% that it was actually made in Canada.
