Can't find water temp. Sensor anywhere

I have a 1986 MJ with the 2.8l. I recently switched new gauges It without the idiot lights. I replaced the oil pressure sensor but I couldn't find the 2.8L water temp sensor I any store! So my question is if anyone can link me to a part number for the water temp sensor I need! Any help would be appreciated.

Get the sensor for that year and install it.

the year of the gauge cluster is 1990. But the problem is that there is only one wire going to my existing coolant temp sensor and the 1990 is a 2 prong.

The two prong is the ECU sender which does not apply to you.

 

The single wire sender is the gauge sender........you need one for a '90 with GAUGES.

okay my existing one doesn't have threads at the top though

You may have to splice in the new plug for the new sender..........whatever it takes to make it work........

Go to a junkyard and find a Cherokee or an early Dakota with the one wire sensor.
