buckwheat
I've been looking for some 97 Cherokee doors to swap to my 87 Comanche for a while. Found a pair of manual doors. (I want manual versus electric doors, less things to worry about breaking.) The only problem is they do not come with the inner door panel. I spent some time googling and could not find a place that sells replacement inner door panels. What options do I have for replacements? (I'm hoping there is a magical site I missed that has all the parts I need.) If finding a replacement panel is out, has anyone made their own? I think it would be cool to customize things like where the arm rest is and what angle it sits at, but I am not sure what it could be made out of, nor where to start. Basically, anyone have any words of wisdom for me? Thanks in advance!
gogmorgo
You can get used/dirty panels at a junk yard. Making your own "factory style" panel would require the oem fasteners (help section at parts store), a stiff baking panel (thin wood, heavy cardboard, sheet metal) and fabric or padding to on the visible side. The only panels I have seen are for electric locks and windows. That wouldn't work with my manual windows and locks would it?
Jeep Driver
You're lucky to have found the doors......I've been looking for a loooooong time. You'll find them, be patient.
FrankTheDog
Look at the back side of the panel. There may be a spot for the window crank on the inside. Poke a hole in it and you would have to make some sort of escutcheon for it.

Patience, one of the many many virtues I do not have. :P But thanks for the words of wisdom, I will wait and see what I can find.
FrankTheDog
Pawing through my junk looking for something else I came across two sets of 97+ door panels. One set electric one set manual. The electric panels still have the cut out for the manual regulator crank on the back side. Granted you'll have switches you can't use but it's better than looking at a bare door. FYI my panels are gray and I don't need them. Make an offer. Let me make sure there are two manual panels and that they are decent.
