Spectormj Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 in the mornin ive got a good friend coming to help me install my new radiator. what should i do to night to make the install easier/faster less time in the heat the 86 is getting better but down for the radiator cracking
Spectormj Posted August 27, 2014 Author Posted August 27, 2014 just replaceing my old radiator. Ill prob do the convert next winter
ParadiseMJ Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 When you remove the radiator, there are two little rubber pads that bolt to the top crossmember/support. Save those, they may or MAY NOT be included with the new radiator
Spectormj Posted August 27, 2014 Author Posted August 27, 2014 I've only got one of those pads cause when the radiator went out it threw a bolt
onlyinajeep726 Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 Are you converting it to a open system? It's already an open system... the closed system was on the '87-'90 model MJ and XJ with a 4.0L. Otherwise, if it's the 2.5L/2.8L, it utilizes an open system.
Spectormj Posted August 27, 2014 Author Posted August 27, 2014 I'm hoping to go diesel soon enough and heavy I'm going
