ComancheSam Posted April 18, 2014 Posted April 18, 2014 Does anyone know where I can get one of those shiny Metal Coolant Bottles? Mine is plastic and cracked. Thanks for any help.
Eagle Posted April 18, 2014 Posted April 18, 2014 The ones I have are from Moroso Speed Equipment. Summit racing carries them. Somebody else has come out with one that's the same shape as the plastic bottle and fits right on the same bracket. Don't remember who makes it but it has been discussed here previously. That one is a neater solution than the Moroso bottle, but it wasn't available when I bought mine. Here's the one I used, but Summit now offers several other types, as well Go to their site and search on "Moroso surge tank" http://www.summitracing.com/parts/mor-63650/overview/
91Pioneer Posted April 18, 2014 Posted April 18, 2014 FYI Dorman makes a replacement plastic bottle that has good reviews... And it's cheap $25. http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B000E300OY/
sinkrun Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 Macs radiator.com I think however for what it cost i would take the bottle out along with the nest of hoses and use a inline fill neck which converts it to open system with 2 straight heater hoses. Theres some write ups on here some where or if your interested I could take some pics of mine.
sinkrun Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 Macs version (it is nice), http://macsradiatorshop.com/miscellaneous/replacment-jeep-radiator-fill-tanks.html
Eagle Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 Macs version (it is nice), http://macsradiatorshop.com/miscellaneous/replacment-jeep-radiator-fill-tanks.html That's the one. If that had been available when I needed it, I would have bought it rather than the Moroso.
MuddFoot Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 ebay has them that look like the stock bottle like 40 bucks
