I want to put a small, simple lift on my 92' manche. I know that the rear leafs are different between the XJ and MJ, but I am going with a 3" AAL. It is 10 dollars cheaper to get the MJ lift than it is the XJ, but the XJ comes with lower controls as well as the lift. Now my question is would an AAL from a cherokee work on my MJ? The lift i am considering is from rough country. Thanks fellers!

Cherokee leaf springs are flatter than Comanche leaf springs. Typically, a Cherokee AAL produces about 1-1/2" to 2" LESS lift in a Comanche than the same AAL would produce in a Cherokee. So an AAL that lifts a Cherokee 3 inches might lift a Comanche 1 inch to 1-1/2 inches.

I got the BDS AAL which is advertised for both XJ and MJ for the rear leafs were said to give 2" on XJs and 1.75 on MJs and I ended up getting around 2" on my MJ.

I thought that I would still buy the XJ lift when the time comes and then figure the leaf pack out later. I may regret it, but hell, I'm getting more bang for my buck.
