TheDude
Hey everyone! I'm currently installing a non corroded and fully functional fuse box. So, I figure while I have everything apart I should wire up a good stereo too. I was thinking on putting in this head unit http://www.crutchfield.com/p_130X560BT/Pioneer-MVH-X560BT.html hooked up to the two door speakers, two rear speakers, and one or two small subs behind the seat. My questions are: is this head unit work for what I want to do? What speakers and subs would be good for this setup? I don't mind spending some money but nothing to crazy expensive. Thanks! Jeep Driver
You'll need an amp and the amp ain't wired to the fuse box anyway......you head unit will draw minimal current.
Mattwheels
what He said, To power any sub you'll need a stand alone amp. Which will be hooked up directly to your battery. A new head unit will be a huge upgrade over your stock head unit, more power and a lot better sound. When I get to sound I'll be using two digital amps to power the sub(s) and speakers which I think gives you the best quality when properly tuned
TheDude
Ok, so I need an amp to go with it then. I was thinking about putting four of these speakers with it. http://www.amazon.com/Pioneer-TS-A6985R-4-Way-Coaxial-Speakers/dp/B00A0LUX6A/ref=sr_1_1?s=car&ie=UTF8&qid=1394669197&sr=1-1&keywords=6x9+speakers
