willi2ds Posted February 9, 2014 Share Posted February 9, 2014 So my steering column has the usual GM tilt wobble, so instead of just going in and tightening it. I thought it would be a chance to swap to a column shifter (future auto swap coming in the future). I can't seem to find one locally and any others I can find are very $$$$$$. I've been researching and can't get a definitive answer on if any other GM columns will swap or if I can mix n match parts. Does anyone have any experience with a swap like this or to a link maybe. I have done a couple GM columns into Jeeps, and others, but always with a standard tran. Never done an auto. I have a '87 MJ with a auto trans and column shift and I have a couple GM columns out.
