Pete M Posted November 21, 2013 Share Posted November 21, 2013 ZJ years. and the 96-01 explorers can indeed be found with 4.10 gears in them. make sure it comes with the calipers still on it. they carry a steep core value. car-part.com can help you find one. HOrnbrod Posted November 21, 2013 Share Posted November 21, 2013 ^^ What Pete said. Explorer rear axle gear ratios depend on the tranny and engine combo as it does with all vehicles. You will have to search for that, but the 8.8 / 4.10 axles are not too hard to find. I only used the Explorer rear disks on an MJ D44 so I would not have to deal with the spring perches.
