ParadiseMJ
If you currently have Jeep type recovery hooks, these mount to the same mounts. You simply remove the hooks themselves, then bolt these in the holes where the hooks just came out of. A nice option in my opinion if you have the $$. http://www.4wheelparts.com/Winches-Winch-Accessories/Universal-D-Ring-Shackle.aspx?t_c=18&t_s=124&t_pt=6073&t_pn=rpp506505&utm_source=google&utm_medium=froogle&utm_campaign=product&emlprox=out&ppcfon=1&gclid=CL-k38Pp6roCFUQ6QgodbyIAXA I believe the price is for one (1). Rohls
Tow hook brackets. Thanks, those are the ones I'm thinking of, though I want the D-rings, and not the hooks...is the only way to do this is purchase both (the brackets from Rusty's and the above universal kit...?), Seems pricey ...might as well get a new bumper with d-ring mounts already there... Any other ideas...?

ftpiercecracker1
Places like Northern Tool and Harbor Freight offer a bunch of different options, but i don't know if this is what you had in mind. http://www.northerntool.com/shop/tools/NTESearch?escapeXml=false&ipp=24&storeId=6970&Ntt=d%2Bring

And the D-ring mounts are separate pieces, very costly if you ask me but no other real choices if you don't want to replace the bumper. With the cost involved I decided to just save up for a JCR bumper and not waste the money on these, even with the fact my new rig has factory tow hooks. ParadiseMJ
The welded, bolt-on d-ring brackets...the square ones, really need to be anchored at the bumper mount on weled AND bolted to a heavy steel bumper with tie ins to be safe. I personally would not buy ANY recovery items from Harbor Freight (sorry HF) just too much room for error (and possible death) from less then perfect safety when it comes to yanking a stuck vehicle out of the mud, a ditch, over a cliff etc. You could get away with about $150-$200 to do it right and safe Depends what you think an arm or a head is worth. Just one more example of something not to go cheap on. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Jeep-XJ-Cherokee-Front-Rock-Bumper-non-winch-/161150361211?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item25854f5e7b&vxp=mtr Not a bad price on this bumper. I would definitely ask the seller if the d-ring mounts are welded to the bumper mount plate or if the mounts are just gussets...or just welded on the inside to the bumper only. Then the d-rings will run you about $15 to $20 a pop.
