Mj Bucket Or Equivalent Jeep Seats

Looking for a serviceable pair of MJ buckets.  Gray preferred, as that's the color they'll wind up being.  If they're ready to bolt in, all the better.  I'll travel if it's easier and will pad the sale price with gas money, and perhaps a burger and a beer somewhere in the middle.  Anyone?  Anyone?  Bueller?

You can use the MJ floor brackets from a bench seat (which I assume you have) and mate them to some XJ seats with the straight tracks.  2-door XJ seats are preferred as they fold forward.  Pete M has a picture somewhere on the forum.

I've discovered that few of my thoughts of restoration or modification of my MJ were original. 

 

One of the first changes I looked into was swapping out my bench for buckets. I found the thread "Making XJ buckets work in a MJ" early on.  I foolishly believed that the mounting points and seat brackets would be the same as an XJ.  :doh:   When I read the word "welding" in the aformentioned thread, it dawned on me the designers of the MJ were as odd as the rest of us.  Love these trucks, but like their owners, they're all just a little different from the norm (a good thing IMO). 

 

As my mechanical aptitude and patience for such things are about the same, I'm opting to buy MJ buckets and be done with it. I already have pristine brackets.  That said, I ask again, anyone have a pair of MJ buckets they would part with?

So, I've found (and bought) some seats.  They're cordovan, but will be gray at some point in the near future.  A friend of mine "knows a guy" that does upholstery and he hooked me up.
